At Vineyard 2121 and Pallas Farms, we pride ourselves on environmentally friendly practices. We are certified under the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MEAP), which aims to minimize agricultural pollution. We were also awarded Conservation Farm of the Year for Berrien County in 2014.
Wine should be appreciated and savored in a peaceful setting, one that transports you from the chaos of everyday to a beautiful escape.
Vineyard 2121 began with the shared passion of Jeffrey & Deborah Pallas for entertaining friends, their love of Southwest Michigan and all it has to offer. This duo combined their expertise to create an idyllic destination. Jeffrey designed and built an exquisite tasting room and winery. With Jeffrey's numerous years of landscape design, the site is the perfect setting for many weddings and events. Deborah has put her management and public relations skills into every planning aspect of creating an establishment that is inviting and offers their guests the experience they deserve.
Offering you a destination getaway is our goal. We invite guests to relax on our beautiful outdoor patio and enjoy our hand-crafted local and estate grown wines, hard ciders, wine slushees and our unique food menu that highlights fresh local produce. We often feature Live Music on Fridays and Sundays, with many live concerts throughout the summer months as well. We hope everyone will enjoy our spacious yet welcoming tasting room overlooking the vineyard and encourage you to host your next event here.
Reflecting on the hard work and countless hours it took for husband and wife, Jeff and Debbie Pallas, to get to this point in our business’s short- but unbelievably successful life- we are humbled with the positive reception we have had from the local and tourist communities. Most of you have watched us grow since opening our Wine Bar-Tasting Room. But, it all began much longer ago- from an idea we had and researched for countless hours to purchasing the farm in December 2010, planting 2 acres of Raspberries in May of 2011 and pulling all existing juice grapes, planting the first acres of estate grapes in 2012, building the roads, installing all the utilities, changing the entire landscape of the property, digging 2 additional ponds, constructing 3 buildings on the farm- all the while following all the strict guidelines through Natural Resources & Conservation Service and Rural Development Programs. Being awarded the 2014 Berrien County Conservation Farm of the Year Award. Earning our “MAEAP” Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program Certification in 2015 for Cropping & Farmstead System Verification was such an honor for us.
In the fall of 2014 Jeff broke ground for the Tasting Room and Processing building. With the help of a small crew and loyal friends we began building the tasting room and completed the structures in just 10 months! On July 25th, 2015 we had our Grand Opening! This duo has accomplished so much in such little time. Vineyard 2121 has been voted 2nd best winery in West Michigan in TWO competitions- people’s choice types of competitions, we might add! As well as being nominated and for many other awards. In 2018 we have been incredibly honored to have been awarded not one or two international awards, but SIX international awards in 3 different competitions across the United States! We've also been awarded numerous awards in North American Competitions. All with our hand crafted, Estate Grown wines! We are so thankful to still have Len Olson as a part of our success. We have been blessed in the fact that his son, Gunnar Olson, took over being our talented winemaker after his dad’s unexpected passing just months prior to us opening. Gunnar Olson and De’Vino Hipskind along with Jeff & Debbie work together to produce what we believe to be some of the best wines around.
The setting will bring you in, the atmosphere will keep you here, and the wine will leave you with undeniable happiness!
